Parenting

Parenting goes beyond blood ties. Biological parents often share powerful bonds with their children. However, being able to physically reproduce does not necessarily impart a person with competent parenting skills.

ARIES or Mars gives children a lot of freedom. It enjoys playing with them, not just sending them out to play. But if it’s an aggressive disciplinarian, it loses credibility with offspring by not guiding them patiently and respectfully.

TAURUS or Venus provides materially for its children, including music or art. It also imparts values so its children understand themselves in the context of their society.

GEMINI or Mercury considers education paramount, not just for future employment options, but for the value of having a cultivated mind. It is flexible and willing to negotiate and compromise.

CANCER or the moon considers emotional bonding a priority. Home-cooked meals are worth the effort. Sometimes the parent cultivates dependency in, or on the child.

LEO or the sun wants the child to have healthy self-esteem and confidence. Dancing lessons, theatre and sports are encouraged.

VIRGO wants the child to be organized, orderly and reserved. Attuned to details, it may come across as a critical perfectionist. Providing pets will teach children unconditional love.

LIBRA teaches its children to be fair, refined, cultured and gracious to others. It imparts an essential attitude of equality, so that offspring don’t hold themselves above or below others.

SCORPIO or Pluto gets life insurance as soon as a baby is born, making sure it will be well provided for. It has strong psychic bonds. It must practice discretion about sexuality.

SAGITTARIUS or Jupiter wants to ensure their children have a spiritual path to give meaning to their lives beyond mundane existence. They plan ahead for college education, offer world travel and encourage athletics.

CAPRICORN or Saturn has a strong sense of responsibility for its children, and teaches them to be responsible for themselves. Sometimes coming across as stern, it imparts rules and regulations to teach children.

AQUARIUS or Uranus governs adoptions and cultures other than one’s own. Love goes beyond the conventional ego-projection of biological offspring.

PISCES or Neptune has effortless psychic bonds. If it makes self-indulgence through intoxicants a priority over the children, it will leave them feeling emotionally abandoned. Often interested in “saving” the underdog, it may encourage children to help alleviate world suffering.
