Resolutions

Astrology offers the opportunity to actually keep our New Year’s resolutions. Each sign has certain priorities. By being true to ourselves and at the same time practicing self-discipline over our lower qualities, we can cultivate our highest potentials.

ARIES should resolve to balance ambition with play. Creative expression can redirect anger into positive outlets, but address frustrations cognitively, so they can be resolved.

TAURUS is both musical and artistic. By studying architecture, carpentry and interior design, Taurus can design, build and decorate its dream home. Organize those bills this year, and pay them off.

GEMINI loves to learn but may seek refuge from emotional intimacy by focusing on educational endeavors. Write a journal for your kids to read when they’re grown. Cultivate consistency.

CANCER always resolves to lose weight, because it tends to use food for solace. Instead, seek nurturing, supportive but non-dependent relationships. Grow a garden.

LEO needs to shine, so join a dance, theatre or athletic group. Make meaningful contributions to society. Find and become an unselfish, worthy person to love. Recognize and eliminate ego trips.

VIRGO needs to love its job, which should provide meaningful service. Learn unconditional love from pets. Work on self-improvement but don’t judge the faults you choose to correct.

LIBRA should work on inner balance between its thinking and feeling and between sensual and intuitive sides. Cultivate peaceful, harmonious relationships. Free yourself from partners who don’t treat you as an equal.

SCORPIO should cultivate gentleness rather than excessive intensity, kindness rather than controlling others. Direct honesty sometimes is more than others can handle, so practice the art of tact.

SAGITARIUS should respect all belief systems. Highly principled, it should have the honor to live by its values and associate with people of commensurate attainment.

CAPRICORN has an evolved sense of duty to family and country. It should serve with a responsible attitude of willingness, not begrudgingly. Beware the vanity of social climbing.

AQUARIUS should differentiate between personal and impersonal relationships. Naturally non-attached, it should not leave the people closest to them feeling emotionally abandoned.

PISCES better sober up once and for all. Choices for self-destruction are unconscious; the choice for self-perpetuation needs to be conscious. Define boundaries, especially with relationships, the mirror of one’s true priorities.
